I just discovered your website, and although I have not yet read all of your philosophies, I would be interested in having a heathy debate regarding atheism vs. monotheism. I am not an "atheist" basher, nor a basher of any sort, but I do love a good debate. I have an undergrad degree in biology, and an advanced degree in biophysics.
That's quite the CV; I am fascinated by biophysics myself.
I am, for the record, a Messianic Jew.
What does that entail, exactly? Not the "Jews for Jesus" movement, I would assume...
After quite an exhaustive bit of scientific research, I came to the conclusion that, in fact, a Higher Power most certainly exists, as, after gathering and pondering all the facts, the evidence weighs in favor of it. As a scientist yourself, perhaps you would like to hear/respond to some scientifically based info, not philosophy.
I am very curious as to how you came to this conclusion, as everything I have studied indicates exactly the opposite. The only doubt I might have was after taking biochemistry... but even the intricate mechanisms by which life survives can be accounted for by the billions of years of volution they have had to work themselves out. I would also venture to assume that you speak not of a personal god, but of a more deistic creator? I can't imagine scientific evidence for a personal god (not that that precludes any; it would be awfully hypocritical of me to laugh at the fundamentalists' use of "I can't imagine how evolution could produce us" argument and then use it myself :)
How about writing back? This could be very interesting.
Sorry it's taken me a bit; things got busy around here. But yes, I'll bite :)
